Super Provence Biking.
"Neil and Natalene are outstanding hosts. Their local knowledge and attention to every detail made our cycling holiday outstanding. Great bikes and carefully planned routes already loaded onto our individual GPS, enabled us to explore and enjoy our rides, the beautiful villages, landscapes, and total WOW factor of Provence.
The accommodation is fabulous, and we enjoyed the pool and countryside location of the gorgeous traditional French Farmhouse. Being based in one location for 6 nights, with so much on offer was far more enjoyable than packing your bag and moving every day.
Local recommendations for restaurants, historical sights, art, shopping, vineyards, markets, and more are all provided by Neil and Nat.
We highly rate and recommend Provence Cycling Holidays. We came from New Zealand for this experience and we are leaving 100% happy."
Cycling Holidays France in Provence - Cathy & Rob - NZ - Sept 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review. The best fun on two wheels.
"There isn’t much we can add to the previous 5-star reviews, but I feel we have to. We spent 6 nights with Nat and Neil and their delightful children and 5 days riding. Neil’s advice is comprehensive, articulate but importantly spot on. He sends you out with the finest advice for the best ride. Breakfast is plentiful and casual. Accommodation is also comfortable, relaxed, and spotlessly clean as well. Neil’s dinners were fantastic, casual dining all served with a generosity of spirit and good conversation. I can thoroughly recommend this fabulous way of seeing the gorgeous Provence."
Bike Holidays France in Provence - Janette & David - Aus - Sept 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review. An odd family.
"Let me be clear about this: if you decide to take this Provence bike tour you´ll meet a group of four characters. The father, the wife, the daughter and the son.
The serious stuff is with the father. He´ll tell you a lot of things that you will only remember when you made the wrong turn...and then you will say ¨Oh, Neil said...¨
The wife, Nat, is the sweetest woman you can find.
The daughter, there´s something Harry Potterish about her. She even does a magic show for you.
The son will entertain you in other mysterious ways.
We spent the nicest holiday with this bunch. Don´t miss it. Best way to get around in Provence."

"Spent 6 nights here in beautiful Provence. An absolutely fantastically located base for touring round this lovely area under Neil’s expert guidance. The B&B is immaculately run by Neil & Nat.
The breakfasts were a perfect start to the day alongside the two evening meals which were delicious.
We used the ebikes which were a god send considering the very hot weather these were thoroughly checked over each evening ready for the next day's cycling. Would not hesitate in recommending this place to anyone!
Well done Neil, Nat & the kids ... met Neil’s parents too (lovely)."
Cycling Tours France in Provence - Mike M - UK - July 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Wonderful cycling week.
"Our week with Neil, Nat and their two lovely children was the highlight of our month-long trip.
We had a lovely room with ensuite and the pool was a treat after cycling all day. The bikes were new and well maintained.
Neil has personally researched all the routes and found the quietest and easiest routes to see the countryside and the beautiful hilltop villages.
With Neil's help we downloaded our daily choice of route onto a Garmin GPS. He was very patient in teaching us how to use this equipment and we became great fans of this navigation system. Neil and Nat's local knowledge was so helpful recommending cafes and restaurants in each village we visited as well as market days and special sites of interest.
The two dinners that were included were excellent and breakfast al fresco was a wonderful way to start the day. Neil made recommendations for dinner on the other nights and helped with the reservations.
We had rented a car at the TGV train station in Avignon and found it helpful for getting to Coustellet and to the surrounding villages in the evening for dinner.
Thank you, Neil and Nat for a wonderful week!"
Bike Tours France in Provence - Bikeridervancouver - Can - Aug 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Such a wonderful bike riding holiday!
"This was our third cycling holiday in France over the past few years. Provence (Luberon valley) is a wonderful area to discover by bike, providing varied and amazing landscapes at every turn.
We absolutely loved our stay with the Cowell family, and thoroughly enjoyed the B&B, especially having breakfast al fresco every morning. We were so grateful for the pool to cool down in at the end of each very hot day!
Once we had the GPS worked out, we didn't make a single wrong turn:) In fact, we probably wouldn't do a ride without them now! Being able to have dinner twice at the B&B with our fellow guests was a highlight, as was the delicious food itself. A lovely touch was the offer to do our washing from Nat, which was so appreciated. If budget allows, we will not hesitate to do another holiday with these guys. Well done and thank you both, Neil and Nat."
Bicycle Tours France in Provence - Sharon & Tim - Aus - July 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Best Cycling Holiday ever!
"We had the best cycling holiday ever with Neil and Nat! We explored the beautiful countryside on quiet roads, going at our own pace, with great personalized GPS. The Cowells were a very welcoming family with a charming home. The dinners were excellent. We had the company of other world travellers at meals and by the pool. The bikes were top-class (we chose e-bikes for those hilltop towns), and Neil's backup support when we broke a chain was very prompt. His detailed notes about restaurants were very helpful and he and Nat even made the bookings for us.
This was the best combination of all the different types of trips we have taken in Europe over the years, from guided to self/guided, canals, boats, barges or hotels.
We had rented a car from Aix for the week but didn't really need it as the town of Coustellet was an easy walk with a good variety of restaurants and bars. Another couple there had arrived by taxi from Avignon.
We have booked already for 2020!"
Cycling Vacation France in Provence - Kate & Kevin - Can - May 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.A fantastic way to experience Provence.
"Our family of 5 stayed with Neil and Nat. Everything about the trip exceeded our expectations. Neil communicated promptly and thoroughly before the trip. The accommodations were very comfortable. We had three of the four bedrooms in the house, had plenty of space and privacy. The bikes were comfortable to ride and in excellent condition. There are many different GPS guided routes to choose from. Neil met with us every morning, and would make suggestions of routes based on the weather and what we felt like doing that day. Neil knows each of the routes in great detail, and provided pointers in terms of what to look for along the route and in the various towns. In addition to the GPS, we had laminated hard copy index cards that had a map of the route along with notes about what to do/see along the way. Lack of information was never a problem!
In addition to providing ideal cycling routes, Neil made excellent suggestions for restaurants, and even made dinner reservations for us. Neil prepared two of the evening meals - which were excellent, as were the breakfast that was available every morning.
We very much enjoyed the accommodations, and the cycling, but being able to interact with Neil, Nat, and their children made the trip special. Neil and Nat did everything possible to make our cycling vacation what we wanted it to be. It was so helpful to have access to their local knowledge. We had a problem with departing train reservations, and Nat spent over an hour helping us find a solution. Their friendly personalities and willingness to share information removed many of the stressors that can be associated with travel. We definitely felt welcome and cared for.
I highly recommend Provence Cycling Holidays!"
Bike Vacation France in Provence - Mark & family - US - May 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Excellent!
"Lovely place to stay while exploring some of Provence's best areas for cycling.
Well-arranged bicycle tours, by use of GPS we travelled at our own pace.
Neil and Nat were very good hosts, giving us a friendly view of how they are living in an old and cosy mansion.
The package consisting of good bikes, Neil's knowledge of the cycle paths, Nat's generosity, and playing with the kids in the pool gave us an experience lasting for many years!"
Bicycle Vacation France in Provence - Elin & Greta - Norway - July 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Absolutely perfect.
"My husband and I had five fantastic nights staying with Neil and Nat in their gorgeous home.
We booked this after friends from NZ said it was the best part of their holiday and didn’t stop raving about it. Neil is a really keen cyclist himself and so caters to the serious athlete as well as he did to us. We decided we were there to relax, see as much as we could and eat ourselves silly so we requested e-bikes. Excellent decision as we arrived in hilltop villages feeling very perky and pleased with ourselves. Neil was able to give us lots of local info about what to see and suggestions about good places to eat. The villages are stunning, lots to see. I’d say if you are looking for a cycling holiday, book this! I’m a foodie who enjoys biking and this was absolutely magic."
Cycling Trip France in Provence - Carol - NZ - June 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.A Spectacular Way to Enjoy Provence.
"We really enjoyed our stay with Neil and Nat. Every detail, from seriously wanting to know what we wanted to see and how hard we wanted to ride, then suggesting several cycle routes that would satisfy us, to the rooms, to the breakfast each morning, to the restaurant recommendations, to the two shared dinners with other guests, were just great.
The Trek bikes were in great condition and I noticed how well they were tuned. The Garmin GPS kept us on track and let us wander on our own, the time we wanted to explore off the suggested route. The bike rides themselves were interesting and generally free of cars.
Our tip would be not to be afraid to try a reasonably-priced e-bike. We rented two for a day and did one of the longest and most difficult routes on offer. It converted what would have been a hard pedal that was all about the ride, to a relaxing and scenic journey through several mountain-top villages, with time for cafes and lunch and checking out everything we wanted. We did go back to the Treks the next day to prove we still knew how to work hard. ;)"
Bike Trip France in Provence - Rick & Leesa - US - June 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Pedalling in Provence.
"We had a great, memorable cycling holiday thanks to the efforts of our hosts, Neil and Nat, who pulled out all the stops to help us enjoy our stay. Neil gave us largely traffic free routes tailored to our daily fitness and took time to give us tips on where to look out for sudden turns, or where roads had just been gritted. He pointed out the highlights of where to stop for views, best eating places and how best to see the sights of towns en route. The hilltop villages were stunning with amazing views and good food stops. The bikes were the best we have ever hired and well maintained and the GPS worked well. We enjoyed Neil’s cooking and hospitality- he is very entertaining, on two nights and mixing with the other guests. The room and en suite was lovely in a characterful rustic home.
We recommend!"
Bicycle Trip France in Provence - Tim - UK - June 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Fabulous!
"There are not enough words to describe how great this bike vacation was. It exceeded all expectations. Neil and his family were great hosts. Neil was essentially our concierge each day. He helped us pick a route and described what to do or what to look out for on our daily journey. The Garmin GPS worked great to help us follow the route. The bicycles were well maintained. My husband had one of their regular bikes while my daughter and I had e-bikes. We were able to easily go the 30+ mile routes on the days we rode. The accommodations were comfortable with a nicely appointed modern bath. Breakfast was perfect with eggs, croissants, cereal, juice, fruit, yogurt. Neil also helped us sort out outings that we did in the car and made our dinner reservations.
We can’t wait to go back!"
Bike Touring France in Provence - Liz & family - US - June 19 - 5* Tripadvisor review.Best biking time ever.
"Great cycling trip. Neil and Nat great hosts and their children Lucy and Jamie. Great accommodation to come home to after our bike ride every day. Us girls had Ebikes and left the boys for dead on the hills. Recommend this trip to see the beautiful sites of Provence."
